3 Best Vegan Multivitamins for 2022

Updated: Jan 8, 2022

Let's face it, finding the best multivitamin while following a vegan diet can be somewhat of a challenge, so I decided to research which ones are the best. When searching for the best multivitamin, the qualities I was looking for were if the company was quality assured by a third party since the FDA does not approve dietary supplements. I looked for if the multivitamin contained adequate amounts of micronutrients such as Vitamin B12, Iron, Omega-3, and Vitamin D. However, it is important to note that when eating a vegan diet you can also consume Vitamin B12 through fortified foods like nutritional yeast and soy milk.

When you are looking to purchase a multivitamin for yourself consider your health needs, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as well as age and gender. Basic multivitamins or broad-spectrum multivitamins are typically taken once per day and contain most or all of the vitamins and minerals and generally do not contain more than the recommended daily allowances (National Institute of Health, 2021).
